John Wetzel is the owner of Hammock Pool Design and Consulting, a premier Florida company specializing in luxury pool design and construction. A licensed Commercial Pool & Spa Contractor (CPC1456789) since 1998, John brings decades of hands-on experience creating high-end pools that blend artistry, functionality, and innovation.
Born and raised in Miami and now based in Palm Coast, John began his career in 1984 as a sales representative for a small pool company. He went on to manage operations for one of the largest pool builders in the United States before launching Hammock Pool Design and Consulting. His expertise and commitment to excellence have earned him multiple design awards, along with recognition as a former Master Pool Designer for the Guild.
At Hammock Pool Design and Consulting, clients work directly with John—not a salesman. He specializes in fully custom pools featuring high-quality water features, built-in cleaning systems, chemical-free options, and advanced sanitation technology. His craftsmanship extends to interior finishes, tile work, stone, marble, and more. From commercial projects like hotel pools, university complexes, and recreation centers to private residential retreats, John delivers designs that stand the test of time.
